Exciting return to India for a month long vacation

I had booked the tickets for the month long vacation in India. The excitement to go back to home to see my parents have increased to a certain extent. It was around 9:15 PM exactly the flight took off and our enthusiasm also took off. The journey was really bad as there was no sufficient space between two seats. But these things were not in my mind.,only those 3 hour 45 minutes were there. I was thinking how to spend that big time in the flight. Those 225 minutes were really like 2 days for me. I was counting the minutes and each and every second. Finally at 11 PM (IST), I reached Chennai.

What a wonderful feeling to see those heads back which brought me to this world. Tears started to roll on my eyes. From my heart I am sayiong this guys there is nothing in this world which can equalize that feeling. Then I drove back to my home after 6 month gap. That night was really sleepless night as I was enjoying each and every minute. Had a long conversation with my parents and told everything whatever I did in those few months in Singapore. Then next morning had a beautiful strong coffee made by my mother which I loved to have every morning. I was really happy to eat and drink something which was made by the hands of my mother. So I started to plan how to spend the one month in a useful manner. After a god bath and good breakfast I recharged my mobile and started to call my friends.

All were surprised to hear my voice from an Indian mobile. The day went like a normal one, had good food good nap and saw the television and enjoyed the time with my brother who was longing to see me. Then next day I took the chocolates which I had brought from Singapore and went to my old office, where I had many friends. It was nice to see my friends back and share some happiness with them. It was actually a surprise to all of my friends as I didn’t inform any of them about my visit. Even they didn’t believe that I am in India, when I called them. Later the first two weeks went normally as I took rest had good time by playing cricket to utmost limit. Enjoyed each and every run I scored while playing. I scored a half century in just 20 balls and every one where stunned as I maintained a good form even though I didn’t play for 5 months.

Next 15 days I was really busy didn’t even have time to sleep well. I went to Kumbamonam for a pilgrimage visit to the navagraha temples. All the temples were really good but it was a tedious journey. Actually speaking the truth the trip was exciting because there was not even  a single huge building in that village, all were small huts and small houses. It was a stunning scenic view of paddy fields and coconut trees. At 7 AM we were travelling through a small road which had paddy fields on both side. The dew droplets on those paddy leaves were glittering like a diamond. The small boys and girls in school uniforms going to school in bullock carts and people taking their tractors to plough the fields and so on are the beautiful pictures which got stuck in my heart and increased my love over those villages. These villages are the heart of India.

Then I came back to my home after 4 days of travel and finally results came and the score which I got was a good one and made my parents happier than ever. Later few days I went for shopping, to my relatives and friends home. On December 27, my close friends came from United States for their vacation. It was nice to see back with my good old friends after a gap of 18 months. We all spent a whole day together and that day was really a memorable one. Then I started to pack my things for my return journey. Only my mind was willing to go back to singpaore but my heart always opposing it. Had a very good vacation which I can’t forget in my life. It really makes you feel bad when you knowingly depart your favourite ones in this world, that’s what I felt when I left for the check-in in the airport. What to do this is life and we have to accept what ever comes and that too for a good cause.

My experiences in Singapore in the 1st sem

It was July 19th night; I and my friends were in the Chennai airport for my departure to Singapore. It was my first overseas journey, which had caused me more excitement and added my eagerness to reach the foreign soil. Of course  that was the first tie i am leaving my parents and my home and so I was very thrilled.

On 20th July I landed at Changi airport at 8 am. Singapore is the busiest airport in the world as it is famous for its international trade and tourism. My friend was waiting for me and for my two friends who accompanied me. We just took a taxi over there to drive to the hostel which is on the other end of the Singapore. The drive lasted for an hour and it was really a beautiful one as it showered us with the beauty of Singapore. The roads were clean and every where I could see long green trees. Beautiful plants in the barricades which added something to the beauty of Singapore. Then finally we went to the hostel and my room was in 10th floor. Nothing to expect from a bachelor room, so there was just a bed and some pillows. So first time started to face difficult situations in my life and it felt really good to learn the things from the situation that rose.

So I decided to have a bath and go for shopping to buy the necessary things for the room. Finally we started to cook in the night for the first time in my life. None of us had any cooking experience. So it’s just a trial and error method for us but I would it was really a good experience. We did fight with each others to make the dish but all for one cause. Don’t ever think that we did a special dish with my explanations. We just did rasam and rice. But all we learnt is that how we should not make mistakes. So that was the first lesson for me.

23rd July I had been called by the university to join the college and finish up the necessary formalities to join one of the world famous university NTU. The first day in the college was really a wonderful experience. Nice buildings with awesome infrastructure and green trees everywhere made me stunned. It was a tired day for us as I and my friends went here and there to find the departments and office of finance specifically. Finally registered for the course and had lunch in one of the Indian canteens of the university. It was really good to eat some Indian food in Singapore where Chinese food is very the most common food to be found in all the hotels and canteens. I am really lucky to be in one of the huge and beautiful university in this world and compete with some international students. Finally went to the room and took rest. The next few days I was free and had no work. So I and my friends started to roam Singapore and went to nearby shops. We also did search for an Indian provisional shop and finally succeeded in finding one after walking over 2 km for an hour.

We all went to Sentosa beach and Raffles place and then  finally went too little India to have a nice Indian dinner. Little India is one of the place in Singapore where you can find most of the Indians roaming here and there same like a busy shopping street in Chennai or Mumbai. Our hunger and the desire to eat good and tasty Indian food finally fulfilled there in the little India. Then the days went off by just sitting in the room and enjoying the days as the registration day was on August 2nd. Then finally the classes started on august 4th. The professor’s language was not that much understandable as they were some few Chinese professors and their English was really bad. Day by day I was able to catch their accent The library was really awesome with some astonishing books and magazines. I am really happy to study in this one of the world class university.

So days went off like anything as we started to study and 4 months went like 4 weeks. Finally exams came and the preparations were very serious. I wrote the exams little well and expected some good marks which happened by the god's grace and I am very thankful to him and my parents.

Saga of Happiness

This is my first ever blog. So I thought of sharing my real experience with you all. It might be really sensitive and sentiment but it’s really true.

We all think that what ever we are enjoying is not sufficient and running for the better and running fast behind something hoping for the best.  Do we think that are we happy and successful after getting those?

Do you know there are some people in this world who doesn’t know what enjoyment is. Have you ever came across those people? Do you ever tried know to what they really want in this world?

Yes I am talking about the people who are mentally retarded. I have been experiencing this people right from my birth and will do till my end of life. We are really not satisfied with what we get. We run behind the money throwing away the family, happiness and everything. But think of those persons who don’t know what is going on this world. They don’t know what is computer, they don’t know what money is, and they don’t know what life is? But still they are happy, and we don’t even notice how they are happy. We need to learn from them that how they are happy.

Yes I am talking about my own brother who is mentally retarded and physically disabled. I have had many fights with him when I was in India. I don’t even think about the problem he is having. But really feel bad about him when I sit and think. These people don't know what they need. What ever is given to them they will be happy for it. But we better than them in brilliance and intelligence will not be happy even though if we get the necessary things. So friends be happy with what you get and donate to everyone to make others happy.

The ultimate happiness is what we are looking for. But we all are searching and running for it. According to me the happiness is enjoying the current moment of happiness and not searching for the happiness.

I wish to bring a point to all who are reading this. We earn a lot; spend a lot for movies, girl friends, pubs etc. Do we really care what’s going on the other side of this world? There are people who don’t even have food to eat, no money, no shelter, not even know what they really need.  I am not saying not to spend but to save something out of your pocket money and give that amount to people who are in need. You can give to any orphanage or any blind school. I can surely say you will feel the happiness when you see the tears of joy that girl feels when you give a chocolate to a 3 year child who is an orphan. So enjoy that moment of life. We didn’t bring anything to this world and not going to take anything while going from this world.
